About

Why ‘She’?  My niece (who I call Little Punk) cannot say my full name.  She calls me ‘She’.  My sister then starting calling me ‘She’ because she thought it was funny.  My older Niece (Punk) now also calls me ‘She’.  I have no name — just ‘She’ 🙂  I can hardly wait to see what my youngest niece (Mini Punk) calls me.

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to visit my blog.

I am just a girl who has struggled with weight loss and a healthy body image for as long as I can remember.  I’d like to say I’ve always been heavy but I’m not entirely sure that’s the case.  Ever since I could remember I’ve been bigger.  I’ve had successes with weight loss but get bored of counting every bite that I take.

With the help and encouragement of some lovely friends of mine – I decided to join SparkPeople to track my daily calories.  While tracking one day I noticed a link that prompted me to join a group and run a virtual 5k.  Ok, I thought.  The training program looked easy enough and I was geeked to run.

I’ve always had this vision of being sleek and trim jogging away through the countryside with no problem catching my breath.  The reality is vastly different.

I posted on my Facebook page that I was considering running a 5K offered in Columbus in 8 weeks.  The response was ASTOUNDING!   I got so much positive feedback – I was amazed.  Thanks to their support and their encouragement I believe I really can do this.

This blog will be my way of holding myself accountable.  I know there are others out there who are where I am today.  Tired of being tired, fat, and considered lazy.

Take a stand with me and change that.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!  I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!

Yours,

She
